The 17th European Meeting on Environmental Chemistry will be held in the city of Inverness in Scotland. Inverness sits on the banks of the River Ness a short distance to the north of the famous Loch Ness. It is Scotland's smallest and newest city with the Queen having granted it city status in 2000.
Inverness is an extremely popular tourist destination and as such has a multitude of hotels and bed and breakfasts available as well as a variety of attractions. The city is also connected with many major airports and so travel arrangements should not prove problematic.
